This lot consists of a collection of three fully jointed mohair Steiff bears from the early 1990’s. Included are a 33 cm red Alfonzo bear in a silk suit made for Teddy Bears of Whitney in the UK (edition number 4,036/5,000); a 35 cm blonde Teddy bear dressed in preppy clothing (not numbered, produced exclusively for Ralph Lauren); and the dark blonde, 40 cm “Otto” bear with elaborately embroidered paw pads. He wears a military jacket this is perfect for him, but not original to him. He is edition number 2,597/5,000. Alfonzo with button, ear tag, certificate, and original box. Preppy bear with button, ear tag, and special hang tag. Otto with button, ear tag, and certificate. Condition: As noted. All in like excellent to new condition with just a slight touch of surface dust. Provenance: A fine Maryland collection.
