This is a Model #19 Register from the Cashier Cash Register Company of Los Angeles. This vintage cashier station is constructed from solid wood with brass and glass elements. Closest to the customer is a circular glass dais with a scale that can rotate out of the way. Even with this glass is a slot that leads to a glass and brass trap that dumps into the cash drawer when it is closed. The center of the station has a roll of paper and a brass lever to advance the paper. The left side contains four spring actuated tabs and a button at the thumb to open the cash drawer. Some clever engineering reveals that only when the hinged lid is closed, the 2nd tab from the top is pushed forward, and the thumb button pressed, the cash drawer will open.
Condition: (Very Good).
