A classic example of what is commonly known as a “Belton type” child doll. Often times the early S & H dolls, which have swivel necks with bisque shoulder plates, also have solid dome heads with three holes on top (utilized for stringing). This example is marked with the number 905 and a size number ‘9’ directly above. This example is just stunning; her facial coloring with her brown paperweight eyes are accented by the red mohair wig giving this doll a great presence. Attired in an antique dress, probably “mother made” but quite appropriate with some typical wear/distress to the silk. Attached to her waist is an antique metal perfume bottle with stopper. The kid body is gusseted and in sturdy condition, the bisque hands are without damage.

Item Dimensions: 21-1/4'' T.
SIMON & HALBIG NO. 905 CHILD DOLL.
