Vera had a liking for certain early dolls…peddlars, wooden, waxes, etc. This example is the quintessential Queen Anne with the black pupiless eyes, wooden torso with jointed lower limbs and in this case kid arms. Nicely painted facial features, a braided human hair wig, a fine cotton cape and a dress with floral embroidery. Painted facial features, as is typical, have had paint enhancement and the clothing/wig although of great quality are not original to the doll.
