English peddler doll appears to be wooden with very nice carved features, painted eyes and short wig under his round brimmed hat. Dressed in a brown velvet coat, he has wooden legs painted as pants. On his rear is a black backpack with straps and he is carrying his tray with a variety of wonderful items: sewing lace, trims, scissors, beads, thread, watch, kitchen utensils, baskets, etc.; he even has a little dog. Affixed in a dome (glass is cracked). Wonderful display piece and a fitting companion to the lady peddler.
