Overall length 6-3/4", blade length 4-1/8". Circa 1860. Ebony handle stamped with "2" on top. Wood is in very fine condition with a couple minor nicks and scratches. Reinforced, double edge blade edges show modern sharpening marks with scratches overall from careless cleaning. Areas of minor pitting and some black staining. Scabbard with German silver mounts. Button at throat. New Orleans style tie-down at tip. Black leather with alligator skin pattern, minor peeling to the leather of scabbard.
