Circa 1820 to 1830. OL: 59 - 1/4". BL: 43 - 3/4". TB: Octagonal. LM: Flintlock. Obvious re-conversion. PB: 4-piece. S: Curly Maple. Incise carving. This rifle is signed "H. Deringer, Philad" on the barrel; it is an "in-period" re-stock using parts from other guns. Most of the fore-stock from the rear ramrod ferrule forward is replaced and the incised carving appears to be a modern addition.
