Circa 1840 to 1850. OL: 51 - 1/2". BL: 37". TB: Octagonal. LM: Percussion. Original. PB: 4-piece. S: Curly Maple. One brass inlay and 12 silver inlays. This Kentucky rifle is signed in script "J.B.L." for Joseph Long of Beavertown, Snyder County, Pa. and has his very graceful architecture and well-designed pierced patchbox. The rifle has its original finish; however, nine of the silver inlays are poorly replaced.
