Circa 1830 to 1840. OL: 52 - 1/2". BL: 37 - 1/2". TB: Octagonal. LM: Percussion. PB: 4-piece. S: Curly Maple. This Kentucky rifle is signed "P. Gonter" and is an example of an "in-period" re-stock and is still in its original percussion state. The barrel tang has been lengthened to meet the comb of the buttstock. His patchbox design is easily recognizable.
