Circa 1850 to 1860. OL: 51 - 1/2". BL: 37 - 1/4". TB: Octagonal. LM: Percussion. Original. PB: Oval. S: Curly Maple. This unique Kentucky rifle has a left-handed back-action percussion lock as well as a scalloped brass oval patchbox on the left-hand side. Of course, the curved cheekpiece is on the right hand side. While the curly maple stock is fully intact and has an untouched surface, there is an old break in the mid-forestock. While this is a later period Kentucky rifle, left-handed examples are extreme rarities.
