Circa 1840 to 1850. OL: 48". BL: 32 - 3/4". TB: Octagonal. LM: Percussion. Original. PB: 4-piece. S: Curly Maple. Incise carving. Four silver inlays. This Kentucky half-stock rifle is fully mounted in German silver and is finely engraved and both the barrel and percussion lock are engraved "Eichholtz and Bros." Lancaster, PA. The walnut stock has most of its original finish and has an attractive silhouetted, resting tag inlaid on the oval cheekpiece and a finely checkered wrist. The percussion lock plate is quite well-engraved.
