Circa 1820 to 1830. OL: 61 - 3/4". BL: 45 - 3/4". TB: Octagon to round. LM: Flintlock. Relief carving. This Kentucky fowler, stocked in plain maple, has a simple relief carving behind the barrel tang and the barrel's muzzle has lost approximately one inch. A few old breaks in the upper forestock which have been re-glued, otherwise, this piece is basically sound, with the exception of a replaced, re-converted lock, brass sideplate, and nose-cap.
