Circa 1825 to 1830. OL: 57 - 1/4". BL: 42". TB: Octagonal. LM: Percussion. Original. PB: 4-piece. S: Curly Maple. Incise carving. Two silver inlays. This Kentucky rifle signed by "Henry Carlisle" of Shippensburg, Franklin County, is in fine, untouched condition, having an excellent curly maple stock with extremely nice incised carving behind the cheekpiece, which has a silver eagle-engraved inlay. The rifle is completely original and carries a very warm patina.
