Circa 1830 to 1840. OL: 56 - 1/2". BL: 42". TB: Octagonal. LM: Flintlock. Obvious re-conversion. PB: 4-piece. Two silver inlays. This signed Kentucky rifle is by "W.M. Sheetz No. 52" has a percussion lock that is now corrected to flintlock and the curly maple stock has an old break in the center of the forestock, but is its original length. The fairly plain curly maple stock has been refinished and has a four-piece patchbox with a pierced finial.
