OL: 57". BL: 41 - 1/4". TB: Octagonal. LM: Flintlock. Obvious re-conversion. PB: 4-piece. S: Curly Maple. SR: Two patched areas. Incise carving. Two silver inlays and one brass inlay. This Kentucky rifle is signed "W. Holtzworth" in script and is overall intact. The curly maple stock has two patches and a re-glued break in the mid forestock. The percussion lock is converted to flintlock, it may have always been a percussion gun. The wrist "cross-hatching" and the four-piece engraved patchbox are its two main embellishments. The silver oval on the cheekpiece is a modern replacement. The chevron nose-cap is original and very pleasing.
KENTUCKY RIFLE.
