Circa 1840 to 1850. OL: 54". BL: 38". TB: Octagonal. LM: Percussion. PB: 4-piece. This Hampshire County, West Virginia rifle has a pleasing old surface, a nicely engraved four-piece patchbox with the lower end of the buttplate, and toe-plate missing its last small segment.
