Circa 1830 to 1845. OL: 52 - 1/4". BL: 37 - 1/2". TB: Octagonal. LM: Percussion. Original. PB: 4-piece. S: Curly Maple. SR: Three patched areas and one wrist repair. 26 silver inlays. This rifle signed "H.D." may have been made by of the the Dreisbach family in Mifflinburg, PA. This stock has a number of inlays. There was an old wrist break that is now repaired and the curly maple stock has been cleaned. The attractively pierced and engraved patchbox fills most of the buttstock. Aside from two wood patches at the lower wrist and an eight-inch piece on the upper right fore-end, the stock is all there. The wear-plate on the fore-arm is a modern replacement.
