Circa 1810 to 1820. OL: 51". BL: 35". TB: Octagon to round. Original. PB: None. Relief carving. This Kentucky fowling piece can be attributed to George Schroyer. The engraving on the brass hardware indicated his shop work and the plain maple stock has a very graceful, slender, architecture. The gun was made originally as a flintlock but in now in percussion and the barrel and forestock have been shortened approximately eight to ten inches on the upper end.
