Circa 1820 t0 1830. OL: 56 - 3/4". BL: 45 - 1/4". TB: Octagonal. LM: Flintlock. PB: 2-piece. S: Curly Maple. One silver inlay. This long, slender Kentucky rifle, although unsigned, is from the Lehigh County School and although unembellished has a very nice old patina. The two-piece patchbox with its stylized tulip design is quite typical of that school. The rifle has lost at least one inch when it was converted to percussion but is now re-converted back to flintlock. The upper eight inches of the forestock have been replaced.
KENTUCKY RIFLE.
