Circa 1830 to 1840. OL: 56 - 1/2". BL: 42 - 1/2". TB: Octagonal. LM: Percussion. PB: 4-piece. S: Curly Maple. 21 silver inlays. This Kentucky rifle is signed "G.F." in script and may be George Flowers' work. With the exception of a tiny sliver on the left upper forestock, this strong curly maple stock has fine condition with multiple inlays and a finely pierced and engraved patchbox. Its percussion, engraved hammer is related to the Bedford County school and is quite exceptional in its appearance.
KENTUCKY RIFLE.
