Circa 1840 to 1850. OL: 39". BL: 24 - 1/4". TB: Octagonal. LM: Percussion. Original. S: Curly Maple. This plain curly maple stocked "boy's or ladie's" rifle is signed "G. Fay" and is quite a genuine rarity. It most likely is a small boy's rifle because it is "scaled down" in weight and dimension. Other than being cleaned and waxed it is a very fine example. The octagonal barrel still has its original rifling.
KENTUCKY RIFLE.
