Circa 1830 to 1840. OL: 51 - 1/2". BL: 35". TB: Octagonal. LM: Flintlock. Obvious re-conversion. PB: 4-piece. S: Curly Maple. Incise carving. Eight silver inlays. This Kentucky is a signed "S.S." and is an Upper Susquehanna rifle which has a typical, nicely engraved patchbox along with the normal incised carving behind the cheekpiece. The strong curly maple stock has an old surface and only two patches fore and aft of the lock.
