Circa 1840 to 1850. OL: 44 - 1/2". BL: 30". TB: Octagon to round. LM: Percussion. Original. PB: None. S: Curly Maple. Incise carving. Two silver inlays. This Kentucky fowler half-stock is stamped "A. Gompf Lancaster" on its octagon to round barrel with a nicely "striped" curly maple stock. The two barrel key inlays are replaced and a long patch is above the right hand one. It is still in its original percussion mechanism.
