Circa 1840 to 1850. OL: 49 - 1/4". BL: 34". TB: Octagonal. LM: Percussion. PB: Oval. S: Curly Maple. SR: Two patched areas. Incise carving. This later Kentucky rifle is unsigned but "Lancaster, PA" is still visible on the barrel with its artificially-grained maple stock being intact with the exception of two small patches on both sides of the upper forestock. The oval patchbox and trigger guard are nicely engraved.
