Circa 1810 to 1820. OL: 59". BL: 43 - 1/2". TB: Octagonal. LM: Flintlock. Obvious re-conversion and replaced. PB: 4-piece. S: Curly Maple. Two silver inlays. This rare signed "J. DeHuff" of Lancaster rifle has an old untouched surface with a mellow patina. The flintlock may be a replacement as there is wood "in-fill" behind and above the lock, along with, the fore-end of the rifle having lost approximately two inches of the barrel, stock, and nose-cap.
KENTUCKY RIFLE.
