Circa 1830 to 1850. OL: 60". BL: 44 - 1/4". TB: Octagonal. LM: Flintlock. PB: 4-piece. S: Curly Maple. Three silver inlays. This rifle is signed "C. Fordney" and has been restored from the front of the trigger guard to the muzzle of the barrel. The splice is on a diagonal reaching up to the sides of the barrel tang. The barrel has been lengthened approximately twenty-four inches and the original percussion lock has been converted to a flint. The cheek piece inlay may be replaced.
