Circa 1820 to 1830. OL: 55 - 1/4". BL: 40". TB: Octagonal. LM: Flintlock. PB: 4-piece. SR: Wrist repair. Incise carving. 2 silver inlays. This Kentucky rifle signed in script "H. Noll" (Henry, the son of John Noll), is very pleasing with its simple incised carving and a nicely engraved patchbox with a "heart" piercing. The toe-plate and sideplate are also nicely engraved. While there is a wrist repair and the lock is re-converted, it is a very nice, average example of his work.
KENTUCKY RIFLE.
