Circa 1830 to 1840. OL: 54 - 1/2". BL: 40". TB: Octagonal. LM: Flintlock. PB: 4-piece. S: Curly Maple. One silver inlay. This signed rifle is a pleasing example of Andrew Kopp's work with a nice finely curled maple stock beautifully engraved and pierced patchbox with some wood patches in the lock and sideplate area. The barrel has been slightly shortened on the front end and new longer barrel tang has been added. The incised carving on the cheek side is well done.
