OL: 51 - 1/4". BL: 36". TB: Octagonal. LM: Percussion. PB: 4-piece. S: Curly Maple. SR: Patched at the toe of the butt. Incise carving. Ten silver inlays. This Kentucky rifle is unsigned and is from the region of Bedford and Somerset counties. The honey colored curly maple stock has ten silver inlays with a brass pierced patchbox inlaid with silver in each of the five piercings. The cheekpiece has an inlaid silver oval eagle inlay with incised carving behind the cheek. The gun appears to have its original finish and there is a new piece of wood inset at the toe of the buttstock.
