Circa 1840 to 1860. OL: 56 - 1/4". BL: 40". TB: Octagonal. LM: Percussion. Original. PB: 2-piece. S: Curly Maple. Eight pewter inlays. This iron-mounted rifle is a classic Tennessee-made rifle with all iron mounts, including the patchbox and inlays. The only brass is a small plate on top of the barrel but shows no sign of a signature. The curled maple is excellent and there appear to be no repairs or restoration.
