OL: 56 - 1/2". BL: 41 - 1/4". TB: Octagonal. LM: Flintlock. Replaced. PB: 4-piece. S: Plain Maple. One silver inlay and one brass inlay. This rifle used the beautiful patchwork of George Eister's hand although the rifle is an "in-period re-stock" somewhere in the upper Susquehanna region. There is a modern engraved signature G. Eyster of the barrel flat but this is spurious and should be removed. The original flintlock is a replacement. The patchwork appears to have been used in period with the original re-stocking.
KENTUCKY RIFLE.
