Circa 1820 to 1830. OL: 58 - 1/4". BL: 42 - 3/4". TB: Octagonal. LM: Percussion. Original. PB: 4-piece. S: Curly Maple. This Kentucky is a late, unsigned example of the rifles made somewhere South or East of Reading, possibly having its original varnish finish on a good curly maple stock. It originally was made as a flintlock but is now in percussion. There are two long quarter-inch silvers or wood added to both sides of the forestock preceding the nosecap.
