Perhaps one of the most unique early cast iron "3 reel" payout slot machines ever manufactured! In order to avoid gambling laws, the manufacturer devised a method that was somewhat ingenious, a package of gum with every play. Unlike other machines with a vending element, this is the only model that actually had the gum vendor on top of the machine. The machine itself is in all original, untouched condition with the desirable early tin fruit strips. In order to play, a nickel would be deposited, the plunger engaged, and the handle pulled, to receive a package of gum a knob on the upper right side would have to be turned, thus dispensing the gum. Elaborate nickel plated castings showing some wear and loss, further add to the overall appeal of this machine. Due to the complexity of the machine it was more feasible to manufacture simpler models with or without a side vendor, making this model rare and desirable. Circa 1905-1910 period, with keys. It is believed that this is the only known surviving example to exist and literally a once in a lifetime opportunity to own such an incredible coin-op gambling machine!
