Features an Elegant Kucher’s massive knight helmet that is elaborately cast and decorated with a backstrap. The helmet is 1.487" in length x 1.180" in width. Same intricate guard and hallmarked the same with a large hand-fitted ivory grip with slanting lines. Locally made curved blade has a slight center fuller and is engraved on the obverse with eight gilded figures that include two jousting knights and seven figures on the reverse that go down to within 4-1/2" of the tip. Hilt: 6-1/2". Total: 43-3/4”. A copy of this book featuring this sword will be included. Hilt stamped on bottom on guard "F. KUCHER". Guard has been re-attached on left side. Blade retains generous traces of fire blue with dark grey patina otherwise, scattered dark areas and light surface rust overall. Grip missing a chip on right side, near pommel.
