Olive-shaped turned horn pommel that has a top circular brass washer. Pommel has two incisive line decorations in the center while the neck has a relief ring, tapered down where there is a brass band then the grip swells with a bottom brass ferrule. The sweeping knuckle bow articulates at the back of the wooden pommel at a thickness of .238" in the quillon. The counter guard is made of sheet brass with five cutouts. The slightly curved Spanish blade has three fullers near the spine. Hilt: 5-1/4”. Total: 40-1/8”. Copy of this book featuring this sword will be included. Very good condition, blade retains a grey patina with some darker areas and a few scattered nicks on edge. Wooden grip with an age crack on each side and a few small chips on relief ring of pommel. Guard has a few cracks, one slightly separated and brass is unpolished.
