Plain silver thimble pommel cap and a stirrup-shaped guard, hallmarked “TS” in Roman capital, in an oval and a having a tapering backstrap. The bone grip is hand turned. There is a leather washer between the hilt and the straight, tapered diamond-section blade. Hilt: 5-1/4”. Total: 35-1/4”. Copy of "American Silver-Hilted Revolutionary and Early Federal Swords by Daniel Hartzler", featuring this sword will be included. Sword is featured on page 28, figure 17. Good condition; blade retains a brown patina with some areas of deep pitting and some nicks on both edges. Hilt polished, hallmark partially worn, and some dents and slight bends in guard.
