Round smoothbore barrel with brass half moon front sight and stamped "US/JCS/P" on left side, near breech. Flat flintlock lockplate with rounded tail, stamped "A. WATERS/MILBURY, MS./1837" in center, brass pan. Typical Model 1836 steel furniture. Swiveling steel ramrod. Plain walnut stock, stamped on left side with two cartouches, somewhat marred by marks from use. Very good condition, steel components bright with some light surface rust and a few areas of very minor pitting, scattered marks from use. Original flintlock configuration. Stock good, showing some edge wear and scattered marks from use.
