Two-stage smoothbore steel barrel, markings partially visible on left side, near breech, mostly concealed by stock. Early flintlock mechanism, with one exposed screw behind cock and detached pan. Lockplate signed "SERILLE/A. MOVLINS" in center, sprig of engraving at tail. Steel mounts, sideplate with scrolls, piercing, and vacant panel, buttcap with stirrups. Cut-down walnut stock with bell flower carved in relief around barrel tang. Panels carved around trigger guard, lock, and sideplate. Fair condition, all steel components cleaned bright and have light pitting overall. Trigger guard and buttcap have been heavily sanded, removing most of the detail. Old varnish on some steel surfaces. Barrel has been cut, stock has been cut, as well with only one ramrod ferrule remaining and about 2-3" of exposed barrel. Scattered dents and scratches with some chipping around buttcap.
