Tapered round barrel with bayonet stud on top of muzzle, two British proofs on top of breech, replaced contemporary lock marked "LOTT" in center. Familiar third model Brown Bess type furniture with full sideplate and Pratt improved ramrod ferrules. Full length walnut stock. Fair condition; barrel retains a brown patina with pitting overall. Flintlock mechanism a contemporary replacement. Brass retains an unpolished patina, sideplate with scattered marks and rear trigger guard tang has been repaired. Stock is good with scattered marks, a few splinters along forend missing on both sides, some chipping around sideplate, lock and barrel keys and one area of wood-fill behind lock tang.
