Iron bow measuring 26-1/2”, fastened to walnut stock with diminuative butt carved with cheekpiece. Germanic brass sideplates on each side, iron and brass peep sight, brass triggerguard with finger grooves and crescent brass buttplate. Set triggers, rear trigger cocks action, front releases. Complete with original wood and iron cocking device carved with initials “M/A/T” on spine. Probably mid 18th century. Very good condition. Iron components retain a dark patina with dry surface rust, brass unpolished, stock excellent with some scattered marks from use and one area cracked with some repair needed at toe. Cocker excellent.
