Circa 1835-1838. Relief ground clip point blade with sharpened false edge, marked "J. ENGLISH & HUBERS (reverse) PHILADELPHIA, 3". Waisted rosewood handle with brass ferrule, pommel, escutcheons on both sides and raised studs on all four sides, turned brass ball-end guard. Original sheath with brass tip and throat, frog stud decorated with boar’s head. Blade looks to have its original glazed polish, very light sharpening only. Leather sheath body appears to be a replacement.
