An interesting piece of Colorado history. This oak postmaster counter was acquired from Cotapaxi, Colorado. It is made of oak and features a central window with brass plaque reading "Central Delivery" and is flanked on either side by 96 pigeonholes. The glass that once covered those pigeonholes is no longer present. To the far right of the central window are 28 brass and glass front lock boxes and on the far left is a window with brass plaque that reads "Money Orders". On the other side of the counter, behind the "Money Orders" window, is a cash drawer that is fitted with a Tucker's Alarm Till, with five levers on the underside of the drawer that could trip or silence the alarm. Circa late 1800 - early 1900's. Very nice condition for its age.

Condition: (Very Good).

Item Dimensions: 20" x 119" x 48".
