The Neidner Rifle Corporation operated out of Dowagiac, Michigan before the second World War and were world-renowned for the beautiful custom Springfield and Mauser rifles. Neidner was especially noted for his custom barrel work. This is the first pistol that we have ever encountered. The basis for this gun was an old Stevens tip-up single shot steel frame that has been case colored. The left side barrel release was custom checkered. Has a custom part octagon barrel with extractor. Features white bead front sight with peep rear. Frame, trigger guard, straps and heavy metal butt are beautifully case colored. Has the trigger guard sash spur. Grips appear to be ebony and are extremely fine checkered by hand. Pistol retains approximately 95% of its original, custom, pre-war finish. Fine bore and perfect action. Extremely handsome early single shot from one of America's premier custom gun makers.
