Referred to as the Pre-Model 22 introduced in 1951, built on the square butt N frame with pinned barrel, recessed chambers. Matching number on cylinder and barrel flat. Features six shot, double action, blued finish, case colored hammer and trigger, silver medallion diamond checkered walnut grips with black disc. This gun has been built into a custom target gun with the installation of a micro-adjustable rear sight and micro-high profile front target sight. Perfect action and strong, clean bore. Light high edge wear on cylinder and muzzle with light drag line, otherwise it retains 98% original factory high polish blue finish. This model was discontinued in 1966 with 3,976 manufactured. This particular revolver was built in 1952-53. Work appears to have been performed by Micro, which was an offshoot of the King Custom Shop in California. Appears to have had a custom action job; has the short throw double action hammer. Beautiful, custom, early post-war target revolver.
