Rifled round barrel with re-blued finish, marked on top "I. HOLLIS & SONS, LONDON.". Features adjustable flip-up sight with measurements up to 1,050 yards. Marked with a British proof on left side near breech and on top of ring at breech. Action marked "SNIDER'S / PATENT" and "S" with an arrow through it and profusely engraved with English scrolls. Tang, lockplate and hammer engraved en suite. Lockplate also marked "I. HOLLIS & SONS". Breech block is stamped with English proof marks as well. Figured walnut pistol grip half stock with checkered wrist, forend and engraved steel furniture decorated with scroll engraving. Pistol grip has a horn grip cap and bottom of buttstock has a vacant silver oval escutcheon. Steel and brass tipped cleaning rod mounted below under rib. Very good condition. Barrel retains about 95% re-blued finish with some scattered marks and edge wear. Block, tang and lock retain a silvered patina and show a few scattered marked and light wear. Bore is very good with some freckling in grooves. Stock excellent as re-checkered and refinished with some scattered marks and edge wear along lock cavity and sideplate.
