Civil War mahogany snare drum with black hoops. Marked in yellow paint "Mercer Guards" with inlaid painted red, gold, and black eagle decoration. Original and well used Civil War period drum. Missing original tightening cord. Leather tighteners appear to be original. Small stress damage to areas on top and bottom.
