Considered the last of the Model 1903's, it was replaced early in the war by the 1903-A3 Model. Standard issue with full-length stock, full-length hump hand guard with sight groove, proper military rear sight graduated to 2,700 yards, flat knurled adjustment knobs. All sight parts are marked "R" for Remington. Barrel is stamped "RA" and dated "7-42". Metal retains approximately 85-90% of the military applied green parkerized finish. Has all milled parts including trigger guard and floorplate. Checkered steel buttplate with smooth trapdoor. Left side of stock has the Ordnance wheel and is stamped "RLB" for Roy L. Bowlin, responsible for the 1903 Remington inspection. Comes with a period canvas sling. ME reading: 1. Very good example of a war-used, early, all original Remington Model 1903.
