Standard, U.S. Model 1898 Krag Service Rifle. Has the updated 1902 rear sight, all other parts standard. Bottom of the walnut stock has the cursive "P" in circle. No visible cartouche on left side. All metal is a blue gray patina. Walnut stock is very good to excellent with the usual minor bumps and bruises. Right side of stock has a 3" wood separation grain crack, easily repaired. There is a half inch crack at tang and a 2" stress crack at top of comb at buttplate. Action is fine. Bore has strong rifling with some minor attention to the stress cracks, this would be an excellent rifle and good shooter.
