One FR8 and one FR7, both of these Special Purpose rifles were made from converted Spanish Model 1916 and Model 43 short rifles in the 1950's in order to train troops for the use of the lighter CETME rifle. They were converted to 7.62 NATO cartridge and used CETME rifle barrels with the gas tube put to use for cleaning kit storage. One with straight stock, the other with a pistol grip stock. Parkerized finish on both and equipped with flash suppressors. Peep sights, one receiver with Spanish crest and dated 1953. Both in very good condition with minor wear and scattered marks from use. Bores excellent and shiny. One with correct canvas sling.
