This rifle was manufactured from February of 1955 to the end of production. It was rebuilt after that time. Features 1964 barrel (ME reading 1; TE reading +7), Springfield trigger housing No. 6528290-SA, WRA safety, Springfield hammer No. C46008-5 SA. Stock is a field replacement with no cartouche. Metal retains the majority of the arsenal reapplied parkerized finish. Stock is rough with a hairline 2" crack at wrist, but does have the proof "P" on pistol grip. This is a typical post-war rebuild using assorted manufacturers parts.
